The breeding system allows you to combine two character NFTs to create offspring with averaged parental stats. This creates new character slots with enhanced starting capabilities beyond standard minting limits.

How Breeding Works

Basic Process

Breeding combines the statistics of two parent characters to create a new character with averaged capabilities:

  • Parent Selection: Choose two characters you own as breeding parents
  • Stat Averaging: Offspring receives the mathematical average of both parents' stats
  • New Character Creation: Design entirely new personality within offspring's inherited limits
  • Parent Preservation: Original characters remain completely unchanged

Stat Inheritance Formula

Each of the eight character stats follows the same inheritance pattern:

Offspring Stat = (Parent A Stat + Parent B Stat) ÷ 2

Example Calculation:

  • Parent A: Name Length 25, Memory Depth 30
  • Parent B: Name Length 15, Memory Depth 50
  • Offspring: Name Length 20, Memory Depth 40

Breeding Limitations

The breeding system includes several important constraints:

  • Breeding Limit: Each character can breed exactly 5 times total
  • Ownership Requirement: Must own both parent characters
  • Token Cost: CHATOPIA tokens required for each breeding operation
  • Breeding Timer: Waiting period after initiating breeding before receiving offspring

Definition Length (500-30,000 characters):

  • Most important stat determining detailed personality framework space
  • Guides all character responses and behavioral consistency
  • Offspring definition limit calculated from parental average

Memory Depth (10-50 past messages):

  • Number of previous messages retained for conversation context
  • Affects conversation quality and relationship building capability
  • Offspring memory calculated as average of both parents

Concurrent Users (100-1,000,000 simultaneous users):

  • Maximum users who can chat with character at the same time
  • Directly impacts revenue generation potential

Daily Messages (50-200 per user per day):

  • Free message allowance per user before restrictions
  • Influences user engagement depth and accessibility
  • Offspring daily limit determined by parental average
